JUST FRIENDS THE REMIX

Just Friends The Remix features remixes of the original musical composition Just Friends by Estelle Fly, once a member of the Japanese idol group, Sea*A. The remixes features 4 different music producers, Shy-C, BLYC, MOZT and Mute Zero Music.

The project was initiated by Zendyll Music a record label and music production studio., via putting out an open call to the local music community in Singapore requesting for remixes. Featuring the best entries into a record published by Zendyll Records, titled “Just Friends The Remix.”

THE KICKOFF

I was tasked to handle the creation of promotional collaterals to further promote and launch of the project. I worked with the team at Zendyll to develop the idea of showcasing the process behind how the different remixes were produced. Resulting in an organic media campaign across social media, from Youtube and Instagram. We produced a key video showcasing Estelle Fly breaking down the different remixes with the 4 selected music producers. This was used to produce additional collaterals across social media in the form of Instagram Posts and Stories.

THE CONCEPT

The project first started with developing a visual language to be used for the entire project from typography to images. Referencing artwork from the original "Just Friends" record, I worked to conceptualise, design, present and iterate. Presenting Just Friends The Remix.

The developed visual language was used in all communication collaterals, from album cover to banners and videos.
